Stay No More?

A small plea from our Editor-in-Chief

Collar stays. An oft neglected, sometimes forgotten men’s accessory. These are those little plastic (or metal if you’re fancy) guys found in your shirt that keep it standing at attention.

But here’s the thing, warped or forgotten collar stays can ruin even the most perfectly appointed chap’s ensemble.

Warped you ask? You’ve seen that guy. His collar bending away from his chest towards his face, as if his shirt were going to take flight.

Or that other chap. The one missing a collar stay. One side standing up at attention, the other just flat and sad. His poor tie caught in the middle.

Unless you’re a button-down man, let’s all take a pledge right now: Embrace the collar stay. Respect the collar stay.

No longer shall we leave them in our shirts when we drop them off to be laundered to be warped. No longer shall we forget them and force a paper clip inside once we reach the office.

Take the pledge. Remember and respect your collar stays. We’ll all be better off.

    ...but I can never get them out of the little bottle. They're wedged in tight! So button-downs it is.
