Joyous Wilfred in all his glory... 11-23-2012

The Buck Stops here

Wilfred's Secret Holiday Playlist

Where can you find the quintessential holiday playlist? No, not on Pandora. Right here at Of Rogues and Gentlemen. Courtesy of Wilfred, the official mascot of the Kiel James Patrick factory in Rhode Island (pictured above). Come on, just look at that festive chap.

Here’s the note Kiel sent us this morning:

“Wilfred, a tiny, largely unproportionally pointed, non-flying, whitetail deer, mounted his most prized possession on parchment above our fireplace mantel to gift us with what would soon prove as none other than the greatest holiday playlist ever listed.”

Well, without further ado…

White Christmas – Bing Crosby

The Chipmunk Song – The Chipmunks

Deck the Halls – Mannheim Steamroller

Somewhere in My Memory (Home Alone Maine Theme) – John Williams

Merry Christmas Darling – The Carpenters

Mele Kalikimaka - Bing Crosby

Do They Know It’s Christmas? – Band Aid

Carol of the Bells – Transiberian Orchestra

Last Christmas – Wham

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Bare Naked Ladies

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town – Bruce Springsteen

Feliz Navidad – José Feliciano

Blue Christmas – Elvis Presley

Here’s all the fun via Spotify.

Not sure how Nat King Cole singing "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" was excluded from this list.
