On the Water
Our Editor recaps his trip to Boston and the Head of the Charles
While one might say I’m a fish out of water when it comes to the sport of Crew (cue College Prepster’s forthcoming piece here), I can certainly say attending the Head of the Charles was quite a treat indeed. A regatta larger than other, this year’s Head of the Charles featured teams from all over the world and all walks of life. It was quite the thing to behold. And certainly something I look forward to attending next year.
Here are few snaps of the good time, as it were.
Elliott Bridge – great spot to spectate as the teams compete here for the narrow space under the bridge.
Oars a plenty.
View from the Cambridge side of the River.
Muddy as it was, the Bean Boot was quite a necessity tis weekend.
Sadly, only spotted one chap is a Crew Blazer. Was hoping to find more after my visit to Ivy Style at FIT.
Though Cricket (pictured above) may have made up for it with that Gingham collar.
