Who founded the Order of the Golden Fleece?

Philip the Good was the Duke of Burgundy and of the Netherlands. He founded The Order of the Golden Fleece in honor of his wife, Isabella (daughter of King John I of Portugal), in 1430. The Lamb of God (seen in Brooks’ logo) suspended at each Knight’s heart, symbolized humility and the woolen fabrics to which much of Burgundian wealth was owed.
